French Dip Sliders Recipe

These French dip sliders feature tender roast beef, melty provolone cheese, and caramelized onions on soft slider buns, served with a rich au jus dipping sauce. Perfect for gatherings, game days, or quick meals!

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or dinner rolls)
  • 1 lb sliced deli roast beef (or leftover tender roast beef)
  • 12 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss/mozzarella)
  • 1 large yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 packet au jus mix
  • 1½ to 2 cups beef broth
  • 4 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice slider buns in half and place the bottom half in a baking dish.

Step 2: Caramelize Onions

  • Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add sliced onions, season with salt & pepper, and stir occasionally until golden brown. Remove from heat.

Step 3: Prepare Au Jus

  • In a saucepan, mix au jus mix with beef broth.
  • Bring to a boil, then simmer for a few minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and keep warm.

Step 4: Assemble Sliders

  • Layer roast beef over the bottom buns.
  • Top with caramelized onions and provolone cheese.
  • Place the top buns over the cheese.

Step 5: Add Butter Glaze

  • Melt 2 tbsp butter and mix with Worcestershire sauce.
  • Brush over the top of the buns. Sprinkle with parsley or sesame seeds if desired.

Step 6: Bake & Serve

  • Bake for 10–15 minutes or until cheese melts and tops are golden brown.
  • Remove from oven, let cool for 1 minute, and slice into individual sliders.
  • Serve warm with au jus for dipping. Enjoy!
